Visa requirements for working in Papua New Guinea
All people wishing to travel to Papua New Guinea for work must have an entry permit / visa to enter the country
Basic Requirements:
- Completed and signed application form
- One passport sized photograph
- Valid Passport
- Medical examination report obtained from an approved doctor or hospital
- Police Certificate obtained through the applicant’s country of residence local police authority
- Birth Certificate certified true and correct by the authorised notary
- Marriage Certificate or Single Status Certificate certified true and correct by the authorised notary
- Complete and updated Curriculum Vitae
- Educational qualifications (certified true and correct by the authorised notary)
- Supporting documents from the employers certified true and correct by the consul / embassy of the employee’s country of residence in PNG
- Employment Contract with detailed job description
- IPA certificate permitting a foreign enterprise to conduct business in PNG
- Maintenance Guarantee
- Letter of approval from DLIR regarding work permit
Where do you apply?
Visa applications must be lodge at the PNG Diplomatic Mission in your country.
If there is no PNG Diplomatic Mission in your country of residence, you may contact the nearest PNG Diplomatic Mission in your region.
Fees:
Visa fees are payable in the local currency of the country where Papua New Guinea Diplomatic Mission is located.
Applicants can pay the required fee at the PNG Diplomatic mission in your country of residence (if available) or mail required fees together with application to the nearest PNG diplomatic mission within the region In the event that your application is unsuccessful, the fee is not refundable.
