Recruitment News and Skills Shortage Issues

Komatsu Jobs in Australia

CQS Services; Mar. 08, 2011

Komatsu Jobs in Australia, once again the Australian skills shortage bites hard due to the Australian mining boom and Komatsu are now starting to really feel the effects of the skilled worker shortage.

Even with ramping up and already huge apprentice program and increasing the number of mature aged trainees Komatsu are still unable to fill the positions availible in Australia for Komatsu trained heavy equipment fitters and Komatsu Diesel Fitters.

Central Queensland Site Services will be in the UK and Ireland in March, April and May 2011 talking to Komatsu trained heavy equipment fitters, Komatsu Engineers and Diesel Fitters about a possible move to Australia.

With the current wage's in Australia and the current Australian Dollar so strong against the British Pound the current base salary for a Komatsu Fitter in Australia is twice that of a UK Komatsu Fitter.

If a UK Komatsu Fitter wanted to work in a remote mine site in Australia they would be expected to earn more than 4 times the UK pay rates.

The skilled worker shortage in Australia is only getting worse despite the additional training companies are doing, long live the mining boom.......

Australian Komatsu or Australian Caterpiller jobs, do you want one?
